Dear Galleria Chamber Members and Friends of the Gala:
I want to invite you to participate in a very special event. Our Chamber will hold its annual Texas Legends Gala silent auction on February 21 at the Omni Houston Riverway. We are very pleased to announce Dr. Denton Cooley and Dr. James T. Willerson as our 2009 "Texas Legends" and we need your help to make it a success.
The GCC was established in 1985 representing members and Houston corporations; its leadership is comprised of successful businesspeople and community leaders that devise the chamber's strategy and provide a hands-on approach to the business community's needs. The GCC mission is to be an advocate for its members and the business community in building a diverse and prosperous regional economy. We work to improve the quality of life and well being of the entire community through strategic alliances and partnerships.
Here's how you can help:
Please consider contributing an item(s) to the silent auction. You, your employer, or both can donate the item(s). Some items that have sold well at our other auctions are gift baskets, wine, gift certificates, spa packages, weekend hotel stays, artwork, and jewelry. I have enclosed a donation form for you to complete.
Mark your calendar now and plan to donate and/or attend the auction on February 21. The auction will be held in conjunction with our Texas Legends Gala. Jack Sweeney, publisher of the Houston Chronicle, will be the MC for the gala. Donations will be listed in the program and published in our Texans Legends wrap-up. We encourage you to bring a friend or colleague and your checkbook.
